About This Workshop

The Ochsner Eat Fit, NOCHI, and Swerve teams are joining together to provide an immersive educational experience to equip chefs with the tools, knowledge, and confidence to create better-for-you breads and sweets with alternative ingredients.

The hands-on, socially distanced workshops will include classes on breads and quickbreads, baked goods, and frozen desserts. Each workshop will be led by a NOCHI instructor, expert baker/chef, and registered dietitian. Coffee, tea, water, small bites, and seated lunch all come as part of your registration. We will end the day with a cocktail demonstration - and tasting, of course!

Chef-instructors include Carolyn Ketchum (All Day I Dream About Food), Maggie Scales (Link Restaurant Group), Zak Miller (NOCHI), Ben McLauchlin (Swerve), Lupita Mobarak (Hotel St. Vincent), T. Cole Newton (Twelve Mile Limit, The Domino Wine Bar), and Amy Davis (Swerve).

Each chef will receive a swag bag with Swerve, a t-shirt, cooking utensils, a certificate of completion, and more. There will also be a grand prize raffle to win a 22 lb bag of Swerve, a spot on a WGNO segment with Molly Kimball, RD, cookbooks, and a few more surprises!

The Eat Fat Innovation event will kick off at 8:30. Space is limited, so please RSVP. We hope to see you there!

 

Location

NOCHI is located in New Orleans' Warehouse District at 725 Howard Avenue, on the corner of Carondelet Street. We are accessible by bus and streetcar, and there is plenty of metered street parking in the surrounding blocks. You can also park in a paid Premium lot (P147 is located just behind our building on St. Joseph Street).
