Clean lines, smooth surfaces and boxy shapes defining this piece is what make it mid-century. Made between 1945-1960 by the Do-More Chair Company located in Elkhart, Indiana, this chair could be considered a true antique. The popular comic character Clark Kent worked in a newspaper office and likely could have sat in an office chair similar to this one, hence the name sake for this chair. The chair is upholstered in light grey tweed fabric from Silver State, similiar to it's original. Originally painted by the previous owners, the wood has been stripped and stained a dark stain to contrast with the light grey upholstery.
