March 19th, 2021 from 6 PM to 7 PM.

Mark your calendar and plan to attend the Rotary Club of Westchester's Annual Spring Fundraiser. This year's event will be held virtually on March 19th, 2021 from 6 PM to 7 PM. With the theme of "Magic to Do" our goal this year is to raise monies for our nonprofit Westchester Rotary Foundation.

The funds raised will be used to support our Club's annual community and international service projects that include: End Polio Now, Clean Water Projects, Safe Place for Youth (SPY), Scholarships, Teacher Grants, Shopping Sprees for Disadvantaged Children, 1736 Family Crisis Center, and the Extreme Makeover Project. Reaching our goal depends on the generosity of the friends of Westchester Rotary Club: families, businesses, and community members.

This event will recognize our "Citizen of the Year", Carol Kitabayashi - Executive Director of Westside Pacific Villages. Westside Pacific Villages (WPV) is a grassroots, membership-based, and volunteer-driven non-profit that organizes a variety of connections, support, and events-empowering people to better navigate the changes and opportunities that come with living longer. WPV is part of a nationwide movement of over 200 local Villages formed to help seniors remain active in their communities, leading independent lives in the comfort and security of their homes.

As Rotarians, we have "Magic To Do" to transform our community. In addition to raising funds for the Westchester Rotary Foundation, see the magic before your very eyes with our award winning magician/mentalist! Indeed, we have "Magic To Do"!

2021 Citizen of the Year

The Westchester Rotary Club is excited to honor Carol as this year's Citizen of the Year.  Carol has served as WPV's Executive Director since April 2012. She has over 25 years of corporate business experience as a Human Resources Professional from a variety of industries, including the last 20 years of her "for-profit" career at a Global Fortune 100 Company.  Carol has a genuine passion for WPV's mission having cared for her own parents, in-laws, and other older relatives.  Her skills and abilities have been instrumental in revitalizing and growing WPV by creating and managing a strong village team while developing and strengthening important relationships.  In her short tenure, WPV's member and volunteer base have grown significantly, and she has been asked to speak to local, state, and national audiences about the organization and the Village Movement.  Carol is a graduate of UCLA and has spent time volunteering with several community youth organizations and the Culver-Palms Meals on Wheels Program.
