Since 2013, our Fur Ball Gala has brought together animal lovers for a wonderful evening of fun and fundraising. So many dogs and cats have been positively impacted by the generosity generated by our biggest event of the year.

This year, although we can't gather in person, the need is even greater for the funds traditionally raised by the Fur Ball so once again we are going virtual.

We invite you to join us for Spirits & Snuggles with Baypath to be held from March 26-28, a weekend-long virtual event with an online auction, ticket purchases, Fund-A-Need opportunities, and even more ways to show your support for animals in need.

Although the pandemic has put many things on hold, saving lives isn't one of them. Our services are in even greater demand. Since the pandemic started, we've helped take in, care for, and rehome more than 800 dogs and cats. The proceeds raised from Spirits & Snuggles will help us continue to help the animals in our community and beyond.


Auction FAQs

How long will the auction be open?
The auction will begin at midnight on Friday March 26th.  The auction will close at 5 PM on Sunday March 28th.

How does the auction work?
Each item will have a starting bid price.  Your bid can start at this price, but you will have to keep a watch on your item over the weekend to make sure you are not out-bid.  All final and highest bids will be awarded the item and credit cards will automatically be charged on March 28th at 5 PM.

How does "Buy IT Now" work?

Each item will have a starting bid price, but there will also be a "buy it now" price.  If you do not want to participate in a bidding process and simply want to have this item, please choose the buy it now price.  We will charge your card that day and set up a delivery with you.

How do I bid on an item?
A credit card will be required to bid. You will be prompted to register on the site. 

What about trips and experiences that are for auction? How does that work with COVID-19?
The expiration dates for these trips have been extended, so you won't have to worry about them expiring before you have a chance to travel or use your experience gift card. 

How do I receive my item?
We are facilitating contactless drop-offs within 40 miles of the shelter for items that cannot be easily mailed. If you are farther away than that, we will make arrangements with you directly either for a contactless pick-up at the shelter or shipping. Please be patient with us, as we will be delivering many items and delivery may take a week or two.

How do I get a tax receipt?
You will be mailed a tax receipt by the shelter. You will receive a statement through our auction platform when you check out and are charged for your items. Please note that there will be a delay between receiving your items and receiving your tax receipt.
