With your help we matched $100,000 of your generous donations for a grand total of over $222,000!

We exceeded our goal of $200,000, which will fund the following urgent priorities:

  • Support four students studying under the Beauty for Ashes Scholarship during the 2021 academic year- $47,000
  • Full launch of the Flourish Academy with continuous cohorts in 2021- $135,000
  • Equip 1,000 students with anti-trafficking awareness curriculum through the kNOw MORE! program - $18,000

Thema Bryant-Davis

Dr. Thema Bryant-Davis

 

Dr. Thema Bryant-Davis is a professor of psychology at Pepperdine University and director of the Culture and Trauma Research Lab. She is a past president of the Society for the Psychology of Women and past psychology representative to the United Nations. Dr. Thema was honored by the California Psychological Association as scholar of the year and honored by the Institute of Violence Abuse, and Trauma for her commitment to mentorship in the area of trauma psychology. She hosts the Homecoming Podcast, a mental health podcast on YouTube and iTunes, and has been a media expert on CNN, NPR, and OWN TV, among other networks.

Circle of Hope: Collective Impact


The issues we grapple with at the CJR don't have easy answers. Circle of Hope is the CJR's monthly giving program, providing sustaining support so we can continue and expand our work. When you give monthly you are a part of a team that stands alongside us as we nurture hope through our scholarship for survivors of human trafficking, our prevention programs, our community education and advocacy, and our interactions with students to equip them to be change-makers.
