Handcrafted Leopold bench made by Dick Munson. The design is by Aldo Leopold, a conservationist, forester, philosopher, educator, writer and outdoor enthusiast. Arthur Kerr Hudson at 6 years old in December 1891 was the subject of this oil on canvas portrait. Framed size is 20"h x 16.75"w. Arthur is the grandfather of Judith deLuce, professor emerita Miami University.
The painter, Percival deLuce (1847-1914), a noted American turn of the century artist lived in New York and also studied in Antwerp and Paris. His works were widely exhibited in the United States including a painting in the Metropolitan Museum of American Art. Some years ago one of his paintings sold for $14,000.
This contemporary Chinese painting on a preserved leaf was purchased in Beijing, China and framed by Tom Hogeback of Village West Framing. Size is 7.5"h x 13.5"w.

William drew and painted wildlife subjects most of his life. He studied art at the Cincinnati Art Academy and later worked at Gibson Greeting Card Company. In 1965 he left Gibson to join fellow wildlife artist John Ruthven in writing and illustrating a field guide to North American waterfowl.
