"The Yellow House" is a watercolor on paperboard. This country scene shows an almost Impressionist style of landscape by Percival deLuce (1847-1914). This noted American turn of the century artist is an ancestor of Judith deLuce, professor emerita Miami University. This signed painting is matted and framed. 20"h x 23.25"w.

This vintage oil on canvas painting of a woman and child is signed in the lower left by Percival deLuce (1847-1914). Genre paintings were a specialty of this artist, a resident of New York, who also studied in Antwerp and Paris. Framed size: 18.75"h x 13"w.

Condition: There is some crazing to the canvas. This item was donated in "as is" condition. It is a curator's perspective that it could benefit from a professional cleaning and restretching.

Arthur Kerr Hudson at 6 years old in December 1891 was the subject of this oil on canvas portrait. Framed size is 20"h x 16.75"w. Arthur is the grandfather of Judith deLuce, professor emerita Miami University.

The painter, Percival deLuce (1847-1914), a noted American turn of the century artist lived in New York and also studied in Antwerp and Paris. His works were widely exhibited in the United States including a painting in the Metropolitan Museum of American Art. Some years ago one of his paintings sold for $14,000.

This contemporary Chinese painting on a preserved leaf was purchased in Beijing, China and framed by Tom Hogeback of Village West Framing. Size is 7.5"h x 13.5"w.

A glorious blue iris in stained glass with chain to hang measures 20"h x 13"w. It is ready to suspend in your window. Unknown artist sold this at the Cincinnati Art Fair in 1989.

Do you remember Carol Burnett wearing a curtain rod and green velvet curtains? Mattel Toy Company remembered this "Gone With the Wind" scene and created a Barbie Doll. This is a 50th Anniversary Collectible in the original box.

This acrylic on canvas was painted by artist Terry Barrett. She was a Miami University student who studied under artist Crossan Curry. Her use of loose brush strokes indicate the influence of post abstract art. The figures in the painting suggest women of earlier times. The framed size is 34" h x 36" w.

Ruthven was an American artist best known for his paintings of wildlife. He attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati and was awarded the National Medal of Arts in 2004.

This item is a John A. Ruthven offset lithograph titled Gray Fox. Double signed and numbered 1093/1500. The matted and framed print is 30"h x 36"w.

Ruthven was an American artist best known for his paintings of wildlife. He attended the Art Academy of Cincinnati and was awarded the National Medal of Arts in 2004.
