Place of Hope's 5th Annual KDW Fish for Hope Fishing Tournament is a unique, fun, and laid back, yet competitive fundraising event bringing together over 300 people to support the mission of Place of Hope!

We missed you last year, but we are excited to be back out on the water with you fishing, celebrating 20 years of service, and raising money to support local foster children, homeless youth, families in transition, and survivors of human trafficking!

We will kick off this weekend tournament with our Captain's Meeting Friday night, followed by a day out fishing off of Florida's coast, and end with a great awards dinner at Sailfish Marina. Guests will enjoy exciting raffles, auction items, and giveaways. This 5th Annual Fish for Hope Fishing Tournament will help us raise critical funds supporting the daily needs of our foster children, homeless youth, families in transition, and human trafficking survivors.

Place of Hope is celebrating 20 years of providing hope and healing in the lives of over 17,000 foster children, homeless young adults, human trafficking survivors, and families in transition! Because of you:

  • 146 aged out or homeless youth have transitioned into healthy adulthood through our independent living program and transitional housing and support.
  • 320 forever families found through adoption.
  • 549 sibling groups kept together.
  • 40+ survivors of labor and sex trafficking have received restoration, recovery, and healing.

Help us spread the word!

  • All CDC, State of Florida, and Palm Beach County Health Department protocol are in effect at the time of the event and will be enforced. The protocols are subject to change.
  • Upon entry, each guest who does not bring their own face covering will receive a complimentary face covering.
  • Hand sanitizer will be available throughout the event.
  • All guests will be greeted prior to entry for a temperature check, and to respond to non-intrusive questions about general symptoms. If any guests' temperature reads 100.4 or higher, the guest will be denied entrance.
  • All staff and volunteers and guests will be required to wear a face-covering when within 6 feet of other guests. Guests are encouraged to wear face-coverings while moving throughout the event unless seated for reception and dinner.
  • Contactless check-in will be enforced. All guests are encouraged to accept their assigned ticket in GiveSmart and fill out their information, adding a card on file on their smart devices prior to coming to the event or upon entering*. All guests that have done this will receive a text message alerting them to their assigned table. Additional staff will be available for assistance. *Guests must be registered through GiveSmart in order to enter. Guests who do not register through GiveSmart cannot be assigned a table or bidder number.
  • The raffle and silent auction will be viewed online from guest smart devices. All silent auction bidding will take place on smart devices, eliminating congregation at the silent auction areas. Both areas will be open from the beginning of the event and will extend well into the event allowing guests to browse in person at any time during the event prior to the auction closing.
  • Social distancing standards will be observed in all areas, and we will ask guests to please be considerate of these guidelines for the safety and comfort of others.
  • All guests will be required to complete and sign a COVID-19 health waiver prior to the event. The waiver will ask a series of noninvasive public health questions.
