What is the FAB Sale? A Pop-up boutique inventory sale.

Do you love fashion and shopping? The Fill-A-Bag (FAB) Sale is perfect for you! Known as the ultimate thrift sale and treasure hunt, FAB provides guests the opportunity to purchase an empty shopping bag and fill it with as many FAB-ulous items from our overstock of inventory as possible. Build your wardrobe on a budget!

Items include professional, business casual and everyday attire, along with some select vintage and formal wear finds.

How are funds raised used to support the women who visit Dress for Success Pittsburgh for services?

Over the past year, many in person fundraising events have had to be canceled or modified due to the pandemic, resulting in a loss of revenue for many nonprofit organizations. Funds raised will be used to support client services and mobile programming in 2021.

COVID 19 Safety Procedures

To ensure the safety of our clients, volunteers, and staff, all attendees must wear a mask and follow CDC guidelines. Upon entry, each attendee will receive a contactless temperature check. In the event an attendee has a temperature of 100.4 or above, they will not be admitted. These guests will have the option to redeem their bag at next sale, donate it or request a refund. Group sizes will be limited.

Due to CDC guidelines and restrictions, this year's Exclusive FAB Presale events taking place on Friday, March 26 will include individually wrapped snacks and bottled water.

FAQ

Will I receive a ticket to bring to the event?

No. The event is entirely paperless. Attendees will check-in using their full name.

Do I need to bring my own bag?

No. The Allegheny Branch of Dress for Success Pittsburgh will provide a shopping bag for all attendees. Bags from home are not permitted.

Are there ID or minimum age requirements to enter the event?

On Friday, March 26 at the Exclusive FAB Presale event, there will be wine to enjoy while you shop. Guests must be 21+ to consume alcohol. Proper ID will be required to be served. There is no age restriction for shoppers.

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

Limited metered street parking is available. Limited free street parking is available on Morewood Ave. and Baum Blvd.

The parking garage on Morewood Avenue will be open to the public for $5 cash only. Tokens can be purchased in the loading dock upon returning to your vehicle. The token machine does not provide change, be sure to have the exact amount.

Can I purchase a FAB bag at the event?

To ensure the safety clients, volunteers, and staff, all attendees we encourage you to pre-order your FAB bags online via credit/debit card or personal check made payable to Dress for Success Pittsburgh.
