Bowers Museum

Opened in 1936, Bowers Museum prides itself on its mission to enrich lives through the world's finest arts and cultures in a warm, inviting space located in the heart of Orange County. Surrounded by lush gardens, a day at the Bowers includes lunch at Patina-owned Tangata Restaurant, shopping in the Gallery Store, and a stroll through 8 permanent exhibitions and our current featured exhibit Inside the Walt Disney Archives. Having organized more than 50 special exhibitions in the past 15 years, in 2020 Bowers Museum was voted "Best Museum in Orange County" by both OC Register and LA Times.

In a year as difficult as 2020, coming together to honor and celebrate our diverse world is more important than ever. The Bowers Museum Family Tree is "bringing the world to you" with highlights from our blockbuster exhibitions of past and present, from across the globe.

Crowned by a replica of the festival headdress now on view in Miao: Masters of Silver, the tree also features ornaments from around the world, each uniquely chosen to represent exhibitions including: Terra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China's First Emperor; Mummies: Death and the Afterlife in Ancient Egypt, Treasures from the British Museum; Guo Pei: Couture Beyond; African Twilight: Vanishing Rituals and Ceremonies; Knights in Armor; Frida Kahlo: Her Photos; Faberge: Imperial Jeweler to the Tsars; Endurance: the Antarctic Legacy; and Spirits and Headhunters: Art of the Pacific Islands.

The Bowers tree includes a Family-Level Membership to the Bowers Museum, a $50 gift card to the Museum Gallery Store, and a $50 gift card to our award-wining patina restaurant, Tangata.
