Highlighting the evening is presentation of this year's Community Champion Award to Vincent J. Delie, Jr., Chairman, President & CEO of F.N.B. Corporation and its banking subsidiary, First National Bank (FNB). Delie and FNB stepped forward with a significant level of support, just when we needed them most.
"The financial challenges of COVID have been significant," said Paulo Nzambi, CEO/Head of School at Imani Christian Academy, "but FNB made the dark days of winter significantly brighter."
The Gala is Imani's largest fundraiser, and is integral to the school's success. Most of our families have income levels at or below the poverty line, and the tuition they pay is based on their income. This tuition covers only 7% of the school's budget. The Imani Gala plays a critical role in helping to fill the remaining gap in the operating budget.
