On June 10, 2021, the American Red Cross serving Western North Carolina will host the 2nd annual Salute to WNC Heroes event.

This virtual gathering will honor heroes among us - men and women on the frontlines of the Coronavirus pandemic and beyond - exemplary individuals exhibiting extraordinary acts of courage, kindness and service. Help us honor these unsung leaders who exemplify the humanity and volunteer service of the American Red Cross.

Proceeds from this event will benefit American Red Cross Disaster Relief, including home fires and other natural disasters.

No act of generosity is too small to make a difference. A donation of:

$25 provides 5 Red Cross blankets.
$50 provides 20 comfort kits containing hygiene items.
$75 provides 5 tarps.
$135 provides installation of one smoke alarm for people who are deaf or hard of hearing.
$150 provides 10 smoke alarm installations.
$200.provides a full day of food and shelter for 4 people.
$300 provides a 2-night stay for a family of 4 in a hotel room.
$605 provides financial assistance for a family impacted by a local disaster, like a home fire.
