Animal Depicted is Eeyore

Eeyore had the worst life that can be endured. He was missing all of his hair due to an extreme case of mange, bleeding from open wounds all over his body and on his face, and as if that wasn't miserable enough, he tested positive for the deadly infection canine parvovirus (parvo). He came to us totally defeated and hung his head low. But when we touched him, he melted. All he wanted was a kind touch and to feel love. He leaned into us and pressed his head into our chest. Yes, you are safe now, sweet boy. You'll never have to go through this again.

Over the next few weeks, he beat parvo and started feeling so much better. He loved walks and going out in the sun. He started to fall in love with all of his nurses, and they loved him right back. He was still very itchy and kept breaking open scabs, but we were seeing wonderful improvement.

One of his adoring fans, and one of our wonderful supporters felt he was meant for him. He decided to make the trip from his home in Ohio to St. Louis and adopted Eeyore even before he was fully healed and vowed to give him the greatest life. He kept up with his baths and medication, and the next time we saw him, we didn't recognize him. He was covered in beautiful, shiny, black hair and the smile on his face was about a mile wide! He has been renamed Seabiscuit, and his adoring dad do everything together. He has a huge yard to run and play in and loves romping in the snow in the winter. His life is now a dream! He had the saddest beginning, but the greatest ending of all time.
