We were contacted by the KongKong Shelter in South Korea. They learned about Stray Rescue of St. Louis on Instagram and thought, I wonder if they could help us? So they reached out to us with photos of their shelter. It is one large area with a dirt floor, and about one hundred dogs all living with one another. They are mostly tan scruffy dogs, jindo dogs, and shiba inu pups. They don't receive any adoption applications, and have very few donors. They rescue dogs from the street and from illegal slaughter houses.

Stray Rescue saves dogs from the city streets and they are mostly large, pitbull and shepherd mixes. So when we saw these adorable, small dogs who need help, we said yes! Even though our shelter is often full of large dogs, it is easier for us to find foster families to take in small, 30 pound dogs who love other dogs. Lou was the very first to join our Stray Rescue family. And what a long journey he had! Since then, we've welcomed 8 more dogs, who are all adopted! We have two more making the long journey across the world on June 20th.
