Artist: Amanda Morris
Medium: Acrylic on Canvas
Dimensions: 12"x12"
Animal depicted is Thicket.
This sweet little guy was so grateful for help. His name is Thicket, as we found him hiding in tall grass. Had he not popped his little head up, we're not sure if we would have found him. His necrotic wound was full of maggots. He also had a wound under his neck and on the back of his leg as well. We are so grateful to the person who called! He definitely needed our help.
His wounds were infected and this little guy fought for his life. He was so tough and such an amazing little patient! Once the infection was under control, we were able to do a skin graft on his large leg wound using fish skin! This new technology helped his leg heal much quicker. Each day his wound was smaller and smaller and before long he made a full recovery!
