Why We Are Going Virtual

The Butterfly House & Aquarium needs your help now more than ever, to ensure we may continue to share unforgettable interactions with tropical butterflies and the ocean with our landlocked community.  Please make plans to join us virtually on September 24 to show your support for BHA.  We look forward to sharing a virtual Wings & Waves Gala experience with you in September!

Because of advocates like you, the Butterfly House & Aquarium has grown into a must-experience community treasure for locals and visitors alike.  We greatly appreciate your continuing support through the years of changes, challenges, and development.

The Wings & Waves Virtual Gala is an evening to celebrate the success of the Butterfly House & Aquarium and the community that has helped create opportunities for the education and inspiration of environmental stewards.

As an organization that receives no funding from the City of Sioux Falls, State of South Dakota, United Way or Sertoma Club, our operations are funded entirely by admissions, memberships, gift shop sales, and donations. Your engagement in the Wings & Waves Gala will ensure the Butterfly House & Aquarium recovers from our 80-day COVID-19 closure so we may continue to serve generations to come.

Our Premium Auction items will be open in their respective color-coded groups next Thursday, September 24 beginning at 6:05PM, with 3 items being open per 15 minute segment.
