Benefit Silent Auction and Drive-In Tailgate

Welcome to the official website for the 2020 Benefit Silent Auction and Drive-In Tailgate. As the event gets closer, more details will be added to this page. The silent auction will go live during the week of October 25th.  For now, please check out the outline of the event below, consider making a monetary or item donation, and head to www.schoolchest.org to learn about all the other exciting School Chest events happening this November! And of course, keep an eye out for texts and/or emails for updates about the Benefit Silent Auction and Tailgate!

What will this event look like?

Picture a socially distant tailgate combined with a drive-in movie. Cars will park in the parking lot with a view of a giant LED board that will show the Bears game starting at 3:25. The usual Benefit mainstays will continue - Silent Auction, grab bags, 50/50, and a presentation about this year's wonderful beneficiary, Fill a Heart 4 Kids. Tailgate style food will be served during the game, and games, entertainment and some other surprises will continue during the football game. We'll wrap up the formal events at halftime, but guests will be able to stay to watch the remainder of the game.

The pandemic has certainly presented challenges in planning this event, and there are sure to be a few more curveballs along the way. As we get closer to November 1st, more details about the event will come into focus and we will communicate them as soon as we can. Hosting an event that is safe for not only all guests and staff, but also for the broader community, is our number one priority. Guests will be generally required to stay in or near their car. Social distancing and masks will be expectations. The students and staff planning and running this event will take all necessary precautions to ensure a safe and enjoyable event, and we kindly ask for your cooperation in that goal.
