Preschool Advantage Virtual Benefit 2020 Rainbow in the Clouds

October 14, 2020 7:00 - 8:00 pm

This year Preschool Advantage must re-imagine our annual benefit dinner to fit the reality of the pandemic.  We invite you to support our newly imagined virtual benefit on Wednesday, October 14, 2020.  Our Host Committee has taken inspiration from a child's rainbow artwork and the words of Maya Angelou, who encouraged us all to be "be a rainbow in someone else's cloud."

The evening will start with time to mingle and enjoy virtual cocktails, followed by introductions by Preschool Advantage's new Executive Director, Nancy Bangiola. Our keynote speaker this year will be Dr. Holly Seplocha, Professor of Early Childhood Education at William Paterson University and Project Director of the NJ Center for Quality Ratings. Dr. Seplocha will provide her insights on the importance of early education and the impact the pandemic will have on our youngest learners. We will also have a special tribute to our recently retired Executive Director, Molly Dunn.

Every year the highlight of our annual benefit is having the opportunity to hear directly from a Preschool Advantage family. This year, an alumni family will join our virtual gathering to share how their child's experience attending one of our partner preschools had a huge positive impact on the entire family.  New this year, a kindergarten teacher (Kirstin Young, The Peck School), will share with the audience the skills needed to enter kindergarten ready to learn.

There is no cost to attend this event, so we hope you will join us!  Please be sure to register to attend and purchase your "no cost" virtual tickets, so we can keep you updated and send details on how to tune in on October 14th!
