Transforming Lives Virtual Gala

On Friday, October 2, 2020 Living Well Disability Services will be hosting its annual Transforming Lives Gala virtually from 7:00 pm-7:45 pm.
While we can't convene in person, nothing can stop us from celebrating. Join us as we bring awareness for our work transforming the lives of people impacted by intellectual and physical disabilities, and raise much needed funding for the year to come.
Once you Register on GiveSmart, you will begin receiving updates via email and text message about auction items and the virtual program. We will email and text you the direct link to join the virtual event prior to the day of the event.

The Impact of Your Dollars
Your support helps us provide critical services for people living with disabilities such as cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, multiple sclerosis, autism, and brain injury. Our services provide many positive outcomes including enhanced health, increased connections to the community and improved overall well-being.
Critical priorities:
Accessible and Assistive Devices
As people age, the need for accessibility increases. Items needed include elevators and ramps, modified eating utensils, technology like iPads and other communications devices. These devices and equipment allow people to be as independent as possible.Health & Wellness Activities
Living Well provides innovative wellness programs to people served that are only paid for through fundraising dollars. Our long-term United Way grant for wellness ended in 2019. This program includes pet, art, and music therapy, fitness, healthy menus, and much more. Personalized wellness activities generate positive health results including reductions in use of medications, reduced falls, improvement in mobility, increased social connections, and lower healthcare costs.Nursing & Therapy
Half of our nursing fees and all occupational and physical therapy fees are not covered by traditional reimbursement rates.
