The National Kidney Foundation of Wisconsin (NKFW) hosts its annual Spotlight on Life Gala to shine ONE collective spotlight on the needs of the 1,800 patients who are waiting for a transplant in Wisconsin. This event brings together donation ambassadors and raises awareness for organ, tissue and eye donation. With over 80% of patients on the waiting list in need of a kidney, the NKFW hosts this event to bring support and inspiration to families who hope that their loved one will receive a life-changing transplant.
Guests enjoy an elegant reception, buffet dinner, reserved seating, and after-party dancing with a DJ. The dance competition is livestreamed to YouTube and Facebook, broadcasting the message about the importance of organ, tissue and eye donation and transplantation to a wider audience throughout the state and country.

The Spotlight on Life Gala features a Dancing With the Stars competition featuring patients, donor families, healthcare professionals and community leaders.. The dancer with the most votes will receive the coveted People's Choice Award! These dancers take their personal time to train with Fred Astaire professionals to create a memorable performance - ALL IN THE NAME OF ORGAN DONATION.
