Your gift today supports access to the performing arts for female students. Please join us, and our matching sponsors, Annie & Joe Strazzeri, by making a gift below on Giving Tuesday!

  • Did you know that by 9th grade, girls confidence is as its lowest point and does not return to pre-middle school levels for the remainder of high school? Participating in group arts activities, like theatre, however, enhances positive social identity and improves self esteem in girls (Mak & Fancourt, 2019).

  • Did you know that high school students engaged in actor training develop a higher level of empathy and are better able to control their emotions? (Mind, Brain and Education, 2011).

This Giving Tuesday, the Show Must Go On!

Due to campus construction, OLP's beloved theater program has been temporarily displaced; but, given the profound impact the performing arts has on girls,

the show must go on!

Our OLP Event Center will serve as a temporary home for our next production of the 2019-2020 school year. The need to bring in lighting, sound equipment, and stage systems come at a price.

In order to help us reach our fundraising goal of $20,000 in one day,

Annie & Joe Strazzeri have committed to match every gift dollar for dollar up to $10,000.

Funds raised on Giving Tuesday will support our Theater program and ensure that our Spring musical of "Annie" is a huge success.

Thank you for your investment in OLP students!

We asked the students...

What does the theatre program at OLP and being part of an all-female production of Shakespeare's Hamlet mean to you?

"It means girls are capable of being everything..." -Kate '21

"Our ability to express ourselves through acting, playing instruments and sword fighting allows us to release the daily stress we endure... Rehearsal has become a haven for me and many other girls." -Karel '21

"It may seem like a small feat in the grand scheme of things, but to be a part of an all-female cast feels incredibly empowering."  -Madeleine '20
