How does the silent auction work?

For the first time ever, we will be using mobile bidding the night of the virtual event for our auction. You will be able to use your smartphone, tablet, or computer to keep up with the status of your bids and continue bidding until the auction closes. You can be the winning bidder wherever you are in the world!

 

How do I participate in the online bidding auction?
View our silent auction items by clicking on "Items" at the top menu bar. You can get started online through this auction page.  Just hit the 'Register Now' button towards the top of this page and fill out your bidder information. Create a password, check the boxes for terms and conditions and text messages (you will want be notified about items you bid on), and then just click 'Create my GiveSmart account'! If you already have a GiveSmart account, simply click to register and log into your existing account.

 

How do I start and continue my bidding?
Browse the Silent Auction and start bidding on your favorite items! Place your bid on selected items, set a maximum bid if desired, and Givesmart will continue to keep you in the running until you reach your maximum bid. Love an item? You can also select the "Buy Now" option to buy it at its Buy Now price and be an instant winner!

 

Will you need my credit card information?

Yes, a credit card number will be required to bid.

 

How can I keep active and know if I am outbid or have won an item?
You will be notified via text if you have been outbid. Keep an eye on your favorite items! If you are NOT receiving the text messages, make sure you have the correct mobile number under your profile. The texts will continue to notify you when you have been outbid or reached your maximum bid. When the silent auction closes, you will also receive a text message if you won any items.

 

If I win, how will I get my items?
If you win a package in the auction, you may get the option to either have the item(s) delivered or schedule for pick-up at the AACI office. Other items will qualify to be emailed to you. For larger items, the shipping cost will be added to the total cost of your item (as denoted in the package description). You can also pick up your item(s) by scheduling your pick-up time during an available time slot. To schedule pick-up or if you have any questions, please contact us at [email protected].

  • Thursday, September 3rd, 2020, 1pm-5pm.

**All sales are final and no exchanges and refunds are permitted. All items are sold "as is." Please read description and expiration date carefully.**

 

How does Checkout work?

If you are the lucky winner of an auction item, you can securely checkout. Click the PAY tab to pay your balance at any time. A text with the link to pay will also be sent to all users with a balance on file at the end of the auction. Any unpaid balances will be charged to the card on file beginning August 31st. Email us at [email protected] to arrange alternate form of payment before that time.

 Dr. Cody serves as both County Health Officer and Director of the Department. She took bold action to keep our community safe when coronavirus was first reported in Santa Clara County, leading the nation as the first to enact COVID-19 shelter in place orders. "Santa Clara County is home to two million people?Many things come and go in our lives, but our health is central to our wellbeing, and everyone deserves opportunities for good health."

HaNhi Tran is a Deputy District Attorney at the Santa Clara County District Attorney's Office. As a community-based prosecutor, HaNhi supports our underserved communities so they feel safe. In collaboration with AACI, HaNhi developed a campaign to raise awareness about domestic violence within our diverse immigrant communities called "I Dare To Air - My Resilience, My Truth." "I Dare to Air" is a traveling exhibit of traditional dresses accompanied by stories from local survivors sharing their experiences with domestic violence. "'I Dare to Air' brings the hidden stories of trauma and survival to the forefront. Family violence does not care about the race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic status of its victims. I hope that 'I Dare to Air' empowers survivors to find their inner strength to reach out for help." HaNhi is also a Board Member of the Vietnamese-American Professional Women Association of Silicon Valley (VAPW), whose programs include mentoring Vietnamese-American high school students and awarding scholarships to graduating seniors attending college.
