WHAT DOES VIRTUAL GALA MEAN?

Things have changed very quickly for all of us in Arizona. The World of Wonder Gala is Childsplay's largest fundraiser for arts education programs, but in light of the Covid-19 crisis, we are trying something different this year. The Gala is going virtual! For 10 days our valued patrons and supports will experience an online medley of sights, sounds, and solidarity around the future of our children... all from the comfort of your own home.

We understand this is a trying time for you, and are so grateful you are willing and able to stick with us during this crisis. Best wishes to you and your loved ones. Stay safe and healthy!

AUCTION - You decide the price!
From jewelry to artwork to a night out on the town, the auction has dozens of packages to browse. There's something for everyone. Place your bid and compete for the best package!

RAFFLE - $50 each or $100 for 3 tickets
Buy a ticket (or three!) for your chance to win a 30 Bottle Wine Cooler already stocked with some wine to start. A winner will be announced in a video of the drawing on Monday, April 6.

Childsplay's Mission:

"To create theatre so strikingly original in form, content or both that it instills in young people an enduring awe, love and respect for the medium, thus preserving imagination and wonder, those hallmarks of childhood that are the keys to the future."

Today our children are facing new challenges in a rapidly changing world.

Bombarded by 24-hour media with access to infinite information and disinformation, our children need a safe space to make sense of it all. They also deserve honest stories that are relevant to their lives. Research shows that live theatre and arts education help children develop both academic and emotional skills, such as literacy, critical thinking, and empathy. When a child engages with a Childsplay teaching artist, they participate more in the classroom through drama-based learning. When a child sees a Childsplay performance, they learn to cope with social issues, such as stereotypes in Chato's Kitchen and food insecurity in Maddi's Fridge. It's takes generous people like you to bring theatre to our children and prepare them for success in the 21st century.
