Why should I provide an email for ticket purchases?
We are 100% committed to the flawless execution of your event. By capturing email addresses during ticket purchase, your guests will receive immediate notification that a ticket has been purchased for them. The email contains pertinent event information which the guest can refer to up to the day of the event and can be used at tax time as a receipt for tax purposes.
The sixth "Love for Literacy" gala will be on Saturday, February 15 at Birmingham's Regions Field Ballroom & Club Lounge. This event is children's literacy non-profit Better Basics' signature fundraising event. All proceeds help support Better Basics' academic intervention and enrichment programs for struggling students in Birmingham area low-income communities.
The 6 p.m. - 9 p.m. evening event will include a cocktail hour featuring a complimentary signature cocktail and seated dinner surrounded by the lights of the Birmingham skyline. Guests can bid on an array of silent auction items and participate in a Wine Pull, Bourbon Toss and Ring Bling. Live jazz music will accompany the mingling and dining. Hosted by WVTM-TV's Stephanie Walker and Eunice Elliott, the program includes inspirational guest speaker Lacy Gunnoe.
About Mobile Bidding
When bidding opens, you will receive a personalized link that will allow you to browse the silent auction and bid on many great items. From the Mobile Bidding Center, you can place your bid on a selected item with the option of setting a maximum bid. You will be immediately notified on your smartphone or tablet if you have been outbid.
Trained volunteers will be available at the event to assist with the bidding process should you have any questions!
