With more than 67,000 athletes across the state, Special Olympics New York is the largest program in North America and the 6th largest in the world. We offer 23 sports, as well as free health screenings, leadership training, Unified Sports that bring students with and without intellectual disabilities together in 145 schools, and more than 5,000 competitive events each year - an average of 16 per day - all at no cost to our athletes, their families or caregivers.
