Join us for a great day of golf to benefit theatre education programs for youth at People's Light, Monday, October 7, 2019, at White Manor Country Club in Malvern, PA. All contributions support Arts Discovery, which includes Theatre School, SummerBLAST, in-school residences, and New Voices. View a recent video about New Voices here and learn about all our education initiatives at peopleslight.org. We hope to see you on the course and in the clubhouse. The day kicks off with registration at 10:30, brunch and practice at 11:00, and Tee Time at 12:00.

All of our Arts Discovery students thank you for helping us bring our world-class theatre education programs to more than 12,000 youth across five Philadelphia counties.

Founded in 1974, People's Light serves as one of Pennsylvania's largest professional nonprofit theaters, known for our resident company of artists, eclectic mix of productions, and innovative work with young people. We extend our mission of making and experiencing theatre through arts education programs that excite curiosity about, and deepen understanding of, the world around us. These plays and programs bring people together and provide opportunities for reflection, discovery, and celebration.

Our Annual Golf Classic is one of two special events specifically dedicated to raising awareness and funds for our highly regarded Arts Discovery theatre education programs. Through Arts Discovery, we are able to offer a full range of theatre-related opportunities for 12,000 young people annually, many of whom benefit from scholarships provided by People's Light. These highly regarded programs bring students, ages 5-18, to the theatre, providing free tickets, curriculum guides and travel stipends for many Title 1 schools in the area. Additionally, collaborative and unique in-school residencies allow students with disabilities to fully participate in creative expression, while New Voices serves students from the City of Chester. Now in its 29th year, New Voices offers a unique, fun and confidence-building experience via active theatre participation, mentoring and transportation. These programs are vital to the theatre and its larger community.
