Support Seniors at Curry Senior Center

No act of generosity is too small to make a difference, especially when it comes to promoting wellness, dignity and independence to our seniors. Curry is an oasis of care for over 2,000 seniors annually in their own neighborhood, providing nutritious meals, housing, case management, primary health care, mental and behavioral healthcare, socialization programs, home visits and meals for homebound seniors, and much more.

The Board of Directors and staff cordially invite you to a festive evening celebrating 47 years of providing comprehensive services to isolated, low-income and homeless seniors in the heart of the city.

Inspired by our seniors, this year's gala will have a theme: the Curry Senior Ball!

Bring your royal attire, corsages, crowns, and friends and family for an enjoyable event.

Our auction and reception will be held in the beautiful Garden Court at the Palace Hotel.

Curry Senior Center's Annual Gala

Palace Hotel, Garden Court Reception

Silent Auction, Networking and Evening Program: 6 pm - 9 pm

After Party: 9 pm - 12 am

The celebration will feature: delicious hors d'oeuvres and libations, live music, a three-course dinner and an exhilarating live auction presented by Curry Board Member and famous Bay Area news personality, Diane Dwyer, along with many wonderful silent auction items and special VIP guests.

A primary goal of the Helping Hands Healing Hearts Gala is to honor those who have made our community stronger and healthier through their efforts. We do this annually with three awards named after historic and iconic change-makers for Curry Senior Center:

- The Dr. Francis J. Curry Award, 2019 - Metta Fund, a private health foundation dedicated to San Francisco's aging population;

- The Joseph Mignola, Jr. Award, 2019 - Safe Passage Program, a 10-year grass-roots, resident-based effort to address safety in the Tenderloin for children, adults and seniors;

- And in its fifth year the Vera Haile Dalenberg Award, 2019 - Jim Illig, Community Health Manager, External and Community Affairs, Kaiser Permanente, for his lifelong advocacy work benefiting seniors and adults with disabilities.
