Providing a chance in life to children since 1945.

Following the horrors of WWII, our founder, Monsignor John Patrick Carroll-Abbing, dedicated his life to serving the orphans left on the streets of Italy. He started Boys' & Girls' Towns of Italy to give "a chance in life" to vulnerable and orphaned children. The young people of these towns were given an education, vocational training, and the opportunity to grow as leaders through our unique model of self-government. Seventy-four years later, A Chance In Life now serves 2,500 children throughout Italy, Ethiopia, and Latin America using this same successful model.
