On October 5, 2019, our community came together for an inspiring night of food, fun, and play-all in support of the many ways we make Discovery Museum welcoming and accessible to all children and families.
We believe every child deserves opportunities to be creative, invent, discover, learn, and play-and Discovery Museum is committed to making them a reality for all kids. Each year, we serve nearly a quarter of our audience for free or at low cost through programs tailored to the unique needs of children with disabilities and limited financial means. That's 50,000 people in 2018 who, thanks to the generous support of our donors, experienced our hands-on, playful approach to learning without the barrier of cost. Thanks to the success of Discovery Gala: Play It Forward and the generosity of our donors, more kids will have access to the critical, early experiences in science, nature, and play that make a real difference!
