About Champions of Mentoring

Champions of Mentoring is Mass Mentoring Partnership's (MMP) signature recognition and fundraising breakfast event held on June 7th, 7:30 AM at Fenway Park. Now in its 15th year, Champions of Mentoring is co-hosted by the Red Sox and brings together MMP's corporate and community partners to celebrate the power of relationships in action, honor leaders from the field, and raise the profile of mentoring. This exciting event is preceded by our signature Mentoring Night at Fenway Park on May 28th, where we provide recognition and visibility to Champions of Mentoring supporters.

Join MMP this year as we:

Present the Champions of Mentoring Award to David Simas, CEO of Obama Foundation, for his leadership to improve life outcomes for young people through mentoring
Celebrate Boston Business Journal for promoting mentoring relationships for business success
Convene 1,000 mentors and mentees from across Massachusetts to attend a Red Sox game at Mentoring Night at Fenway Park on May 28th; Mentoring Night will receive coverage on NESN and several matches will get to participate in pregame activities. We will air highlights of the special evening bringing together mentoring matches at the Champions of Mentoring event
Convene 250 of MMP's stakeholders as well as businesses, public officials, and community leaders for a morning of celebration at the Champions of Mentoring breakfast event on June 7th
Present the KELLY Award to a mentee who has persevered through adversity. The KELLY Award provides $20,000 to a mentee in support of his or her educational pursuits and is named in honor of Debbie and Ted Kelly
Present the James G. Connolly Tribute Fund Awards to support mentoring programs working to better their communities, in honor of the life and legacy of late MMP Board Chair Jim Connolly
