Homes For Our Troops (HFOT) is a publicly funded 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization that builds and donates specially adapted custom homes nationwide for severely injured post - 9/11 Veterans, to enable them to rebuild their lives. Most of these Veterans have sustained injuries including multiple limb amputations, partial or full paralysis, and/or severe traumatic brain injury (TBI). These homes restore some of the freedom and independence our Veterans sacrificed while defending our country, and enable them to focus on their family, recovery, and rebuilding their lives.
Lippert Charitable Corporation's 2019 Clay Shoot will focus their fundraising efforts towards the build for Marine LCpl Bobby McCardle. The McCardle family including his wife and two children are hoping to build their home in the Franklin, WI area. LCpl was on his second deployment when his vehicle was hit by an IED (improvised explosive device). The blast resulted in the loss of his right leg, internal injuries, and a traumatic brain injury. The mortgage free home that will be built by HFOT will allow LCpl McCardle to have the freedom and independence he lost after sustaining the injury.
