Announcing: The William Boughton Fund for American Music!

Thanks to the generosity of some leading philanthropic gifts to honor Maestro Boughton, the NHSO Board of Directors has established a new fund: the William Boughton Fund for American Music. Invested for long term asset protection, this fund will benefit future programming involving American music.

It can be challenging to feature new American composers due to the costs of commissioning new pieces, the costs of rehearsing unknown works, and the uncertainty of audience attendance to programs featuring unknown music.
