What is Celebration?
Celebration is Serve Denton's largest fundraising event that includes a silent auction with over 100 items, a first-rate dinner and the opportunity to hear from Elizabeth Smart, our guest speaker. Elizabeth is a child safety activist who was abducted at the age of 14 from her home in Salt Lake City, Utah.
At Celebration, Elizabeth will share her story of being kidnapped for nine months and how she was able to recover from this traumatic experience. She says it is extremely important for survivors of abuse to have a support system. While she was able to find support through her family, she says many people don't have that luxury, which is why it is crucial to provide resources for survivors of trauma, especially if they don't have the financial means.
This is one of the reasons why we house multiple services at one location, so together, we can be someone's support system.

Serve Denton
Serve Denton supports nonprofits that open doors for people to become self-sufficient. We do this primarily by providing affordable office space to local nonprofits so more of their money goes toward the people they serve instead of overhead costs.
Another benefit to nonprofits officing together is that this makes services more accessible to people in need so people can find help in one location. This model also increases collaboration between nonprofits who have the same goal, to see people back on their feet.
Our two projects include the Serve Denton Center and The Wheeler House.
