Our Mission

The new buildings are humming. The hundredth birthday has been celebrated. The foundation for Rippowam Cisqua's next century - and beyond - has been laid. Now it's time to IMAGINE the incredible future we can build together. As our school steps into its second century and our children continue to grow into their best selves, we invite every member of our community to join us at the RCS IMAGINE Benefit Auction on April 27th, 2019. It will be a night to remember, during which we'll gather to revel in one another's company, build upon the priceless cornerstones of character and education our faculty and staff provide for Ripp kids every day, and dream BIG. The sky is the limit for our students and teachers, and we can help bring the sky a little closer - whether in the form of innovative learning opportunities, cutting edge technologies, out-of-the-box enrichment ideas, new scholarships, or adventures yet to be conjured - by lending our presence and support to this fun, not-to-be-missed, community-wide event. We welcome one and all to IMAGINE, and can't wait to dream, dine, dance and bid with you right into Rippowam's next hundred years!

Auctioneer - Simon de Pury

Simon de Pury is a Swiss art auctioneer and collector. He is often called "the Mick Jagger of art auctions" for his masterful, exciting style of auctioneering and is perhaps the world's best known art auctioneer. He was the curator of the famous Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection and was appointed chairman of Sotheby's Switzerland and then later all of Europe.

He left Sotheby's to start his own auction house with Daniella Luxembourg, called De Pury and Luxemburg Art and then merged with Phillips Auction House of which he was chairman and chief auctioneer. He is currently a global art consultant and co-founder of depury depury, a company specializing in curating exhibitions, building collections and facilitating private transactions of Impressionists, Modern, Post-war and Contemporary Art.

He is an active charity auctioneer and over the years has raised hundreds of millions of dollars for a number of charities, including Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation and amfAR where he was just honored for his longstanding commitment in the fight against AIDS.
