A Clinical Introduction to Value-based Exposures for OCD
This training offers clinicians an opportunity to move beyond talking about ERP and experience what value-based exposure can look like in practice. After a brief review of OCD diagnosis, statistics, and comorbidities, participants will engage in demonstrations and experiential role-play to explore how ACT principles can help make ERP more approachable and connect exposure work to the life a client wants to live. The training will close by examining the clinical complexities of OCD, ADHD, and autism, including overlapping features that can make OCD harder to recognize and treat.
