Hearts for Hounds is Houston Humane Society's second annual charity poker tournament, bringing together business leaders, industry professionals, and community supporters for an elevated evening of Texas Hold'em, networking, entertainment, and philanthropy. The event will take place on Monday, November 2, 2026, at Alara Garage, a one-of-a-kind luxury automotive showroom housing hundreds of exotic and high-end vehicles, creating the perfect backdrop for a 1920s-inspired speakeasy atmosphere.
Guests will enjoy a professionally run poker tournament by iHost Poker, the full bar will feature signature themed cocktails, and heavy hor d'ouvres will be available throughout the event. The evening will begin with a cocktail hour featuring networking opportunities, followed by opening remarks highlighting Houston Humane Society's mission, programs, and the many ways the organization serves animals and the community. The generous team at Alara Garage will also offer guided tours, giving guests an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at their impressive collection of luxury and exotic vehicles.
Prizes will be awarded to all players who make it to the final table, with grand prizes reserved for the first, second, and third place winners.
Not a poker player or out of the tournament sooner than you hoped? Try your luck at our craps, roulette, and blackjack tables from 7 - 10 PM. Casino winnings can be exchanged for raffle tickets for a chance to win one of three exciting raffle prizes. Prize details coming soon!
Dress code is business casual to cocktail attire, with guests encouraged (but not required) to incorporate optional 1920s-inspired flair for those who wish to enhance the theme.
