Join us in supporting our neighbors working to end the violence in their lives and stabilize their families at our Awareness & Empowerment Dinner. We are celebrating the empowerment and comradery of people across East Central MN and Western WI, coming together to raise awareness for the peoples lives lost to domestic violence this year and raise support for our Domestic Violence programs and Shelter.

Join us for dinner and hear from our staff about the work we are doing. Learn from our Impact speakers about their experiences with Domestic Violence.

Charlotte Babler
Author of "The Forgotten Many"

The Forgotten Many (coming October 6, 2026)

The Forgotten Many is a novel (based on a true story) about the women nobody sees, the violence nobody names, and the cost of leaving. It's about the women who refuse to let each other disappear-and it's the first to answer, in a voice that will not be ignored, the question asked of every survivor: Why did you stay?

Director of DVSA Services
Family Pathways

Since April 2025, Janice has served as the Director of DVSA at Family Pathways, where she leads the organization's Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault programs with a blend of strategic vision, trauma-informed expertise, and deep community commitment. In her role, Janice oversees program development, survivor advocacy, multidisciplinary partnerships, and staff leadership across Family Pathways' service region.

Charles Hempeck
Executive Director
Anna Marie's Alliance

Charles Hempeck, Executive Director of Anna Marie's Alliance in St. Cloud, is a respected leader in rural domestic violence response and survivor-centered advocacy. With extensive experience supporting communities across Central Minnesota, Charles understands the unique barriers rural survivors face - geographic isolation, limited transportation, fewer service providers, tight-knit community dynamics, and the heightened risks associated with firearms and economic dependence.
