Join us for the 8th Annual Bingo Night at the Verdugo War Memorial Hall! Presented by American Legion Post 288 and VFW Post 1614, this exciting community event will raise funds to support the Scouting programs of the Verdugo Hills Council.
The Verdugo Hills Council provides enriching programs for youth ages 5-11 through Cub Scouts and other Scouting adventures that inspire leadership, teamwork, and service. Programs include fan-favorite events such as Rocket Academy, where nearly 500 participants spend a weekend at Camp Verdugo Oaks building and launching rockets, practicing archery, shooting BB guns, swimming, hiking, camping under the stars, and enjoying a wide variety of outdoor activities.
Additional programs offered by the Council include Rocket Academy, Cub Haunt, Cub Scout Summer Resident Camp, Cub Scout Summer Day Camp, Camporee, Extreme Merit Badge Mania, Art and Film Camp, and Rescue 911 ScoutBSA Camp.
Your support helps make these life-changing opportunities possible for local youth. Scouts give back to the community in countless ways through Eagle Scout projects and service initiatives that benefit schools, nonprofits, parks, food pantries, and families in need. From building benches and gardens to renovating school facilities and organizing donation drives, Scouts continue to make a meaningful impact throughout our community.
Please come out, have fun, and support Scouting in your community!
