About the Event

The Tournament

Hoop for Hunter features a four-team mini-tournament format where competing players battle it out on the court in a day of fast-paced, high-energy basketball. With only 20 player spots available, competition will be fierce and the energy will be electric. Whether you're a seasoned baller or just love the game, this is your chance to compete for a great cause and walk away with bragging rights, and maybe a prize or two.

Open Court for the Kids

We believe every family member deserves to be part of the fun. Between games, the court opens for the kids, a free-play open court session where the little ones can dribble, shoot, and show off their moves. It's the perfect opportunity for your future MVP to get in on the action while the big kids take a breather.

Food & Prizes

Work up an appetite? We've got you covered. Food will be available for purchase throughout the event, so you can fuel up between games or settle in for a great morning of watching the action. And the fun doesn't stop there, prizes will be given throughout the day, so stick around, stay engaged, and you just might go home with something to show for it.

About Project Alive

Founded in 2014, Project Alive is a national nonprofit dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by Hunter syndrome through research, advocacy, education, and community support. We are the only national organization focused on Hunter syndrome, and we show up for our families at every stage of the journey, from diagnosis through adulthood.

Our mission: Find a cure through research and advocacy and provide education and resources to the Hunter syndrome community.

Come Be Part of It

This is more than a basketball tournament. It's a community coming together to say that our family's matter, that rare disease research matters, and that showing up, on the court and off it, is how we make change happen.

Bring your family. Bring your friends. Bring your competitive spirit. And come ready to have an unforgettable morning in Chino.

See you on the court. 🏀
