The Mehegan Award honors Mother Mary Xavier Mehegan, who founded the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth in 1859. This award is given to an individual who exemplifies the charism of the Sisters of Charity, is dedicated to gospel values and lives these values in service to others.

The Caritas Award is named for the motto of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth, which is DEUS EST CARITAS, God is love. This award is presented to an individual who has demonstrated high standards of Catholic social justice and who has committed themselves to service in the spirit of the Sisters of Charity.

The Vincentian Award honors St. Vincent de Paul, one of the founders of the Sisters of Charity of Saint Elizabeth. St. Vincent de Paul knew the importance of collaboration and networking to carry out the mission of Charity in 17th century France. This award is given to an organization or company whose mission exemplifies the values of service and support to others.
