About Me

Hi! I'm Sofia Brooks (pictured above, while hosting a beach cleanup), a rising senior from New Canaan High School who believes every student deserves the opportunity to connect with and learn from Long Island Sound. Over the past few years with SoundWaters, I've been lucky to be introduced to real hands-on research- from going on trips aboard the Research Vessel Schooner to conducting oyster disease analysis, I've had so many fun experiences and I want to help give others the opportunity to be as inspired as I am.
