AFP San Diego's National Philanthropy Day presented by PNC Bank

The San Diego Chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFPSD) is a volunteer-driven non-profit devoted to advancing philanthropy in our region.

Our mission is to empower members and the non-profit community to engage in effective and ethical fundraising by driving impact through best practices. We provide education and training, scholarships, credentialing support, non-profit resources, networking opportunities, a formal mentorship program, advocacy awareness and professional recognition. Philanthropy provides the opportunity to make an impact in the lives of others.

In recent times, it has become more important than ever for the non-profit community to become more resourceful, resilient and collaborative in their efforts to advance change. AFPSD's programs and training provide education for professionals of all levels, from those just starting their careers to those who have been fundraising for decades.

Our network is committed to mentoring and ongoing learning opportunities. Each year, AFP San Diego proudly participates in the global celebration of National Philanthropy Day, honoring those whose generosity and leadership strengthen our community and beyond. Our local event is the chapter's premier gathering-and one of the largest in the nation-bringing together nearly 1,000 philanthropists, nonprofit leaders, volunteers, and civic and business leaders.
