Eyni fled Somalia in 2006 and resettled in the United States in 2013. A graduate of the University of Colorado Denver with a degree in Sociology, she currently serves as an Academic Advisor at the Community College of Aurora, where she empowers students from diverse backgrounds to pursue their goals with confidence.
In addition to her work in higher education, Eyni is a poet, activist, and community leader committed to uplifting marginalized voices and creating pathways to opportunity. She is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Leadership for Educational Organizations at the University of Colorado Denver and is honored to share her story as this year's keynote speaker.
