Welcome to the Effertz EZ Ranch Focus on Efficiency Production Sale,   

What an amazing time to be in the cattle business!  

The future is incredibly bright.  Commercial open heifers in the northern plains are routinely selling in the $3000 - $3500 range.  The most significant thing to contribute to their profitability is to wean a live first calf.  No other breed can help them accomplish that goal better than an Aberdeen bull.

We are offering a great set of "bullet proof" calving ease Aberdeen herd sires in this sale.  Many are sired by our National Champion bull Hollywood.  They are also out of some of our very best, proven cows.  The sale bulls are semen tested and ready to go to work.

We are also offering some fantastic donor quality bred heifers in this sale, bred to our newest herdsires, UF Hurricane and TCS MJ.  

The heifer calves offered come from the heart of our replacement heifer group, many are Hollywood daughters and exhibit all those high efficiency qualities and natural fleshing ability right off grass with no supplemental grain.  They are uniformly good and still offer a variety of top name genetics to enhance your breeding program.

The cattle and genetics in this sale are backed by 30 years of ruthless selection for structural correctness, longevity, fertility and productivity.  

We welcome your visit before the sale to view the sale cattle and your participation in the sale.  If you are lucky enough to get something bought in the sale, we'd like to assist you with transportation. We are offering maximum trucking of $500 per lot to central locations in the continental US.  Insurance is available and recommended if need to leave your purchases at the ranch after the sale while awaiting transportation. 

We are offering a very diverse genetic assortment of live cattle in this sale. We are also offering some exciting frozen genetics, embryos and semen, both current and vintage direct import Australian import bloodlines.  Our semen is stored at Hawkeye Breeders in Adel, Iowa and shipment from there will be arranged after the sale. 

As always, all sale cattle are registered with the American Aberdeen Association and papers will be transferred to the buyers promptly after the sale at our expense.

This Auction has a horse race style finish. Every time someone bids during the last 5 minutes of the auction the clock will extend 5 more minutes until no one bids for an entire 5 minutes. Please note that this countdown duration may be changed without notice during the auction.

SmartAuctions will invoice all buyers and release the lot after payment is received. PAYMENT IS DUE UPON RECEIPT. A credit/debit card will be required ONLY to verify identity of bidders, but you will not be charged for your purchases on your card UNLESS you choose that option or you have not paid for your purchases prior to 12 days after the auction closes. Your credit card will be charged if payment has not been received within 12 days after purchase or arrangements have not been communicated. If your credit card payment is declined at the 12 days your purchase will accrue an interest of 6%. If you pay with a card you will be charged a 5% transaction fee.
