Keynote Speaker

"The true measure of a community's strength is found in its kindness to strangers, in people who choose to see someone's hardship and act." - John Van Cleef, CEO.
We are pleased to feature a keynote by Margi Malek, Board President and KCC Director at Kids for Peace. Margi will highlight two global impact programs: The Peace Pledge Program, where youth commit to kind words and actions, and The Great Kindness Challenge, which has empowered over 22 million students in 135 countries.
Discover how Kindness Certified Companies (KCC) allow businesses to be "good to their people, community, planet, and world". You'll learn how you can get involved and uplift the world through love and action.

Event FAQs
What is new for the 2026 Tea?
For years, we've heard from CRC Tea attendees that the event feels like a family reunion, so we've made changes to foster deeper connections among our longstanding supporters and honor the tradition and impact of the CRC Tea in a more meaningful way; a smaller event helps to support this objective. And, by popular request, we are returning to a more traditional tea experience, to reflect the charm and warmth of the Tea's original roots.
Where will the event be held?
The CRC Tea will be held at the Woman's Club of Carlsbad, a beautiful and intimate venue chosen to create a more personal and meaningful experience for our guests and to support engagement with a local organization doing great philanthropic work in our community.
Why is the event smaller this year?
We are curating a more intimate gathering to celebrate and connect with our most dedicated supporters. The invitation-only format allows for a more engaging experience while honoring those who have been steadfast champions of our mission and the CRC Tea.
How are seating arrangements structured?
Seating will be arranged with eight guests per table to encourage connection and conversation. If you and your friends received an invitation to purchase tickets/attend, everyone should purchase their ticket using your group's name (please include the name when you finalize your purchase) so we can seat you together. (Please note: we will do our best!)
Can I reserve a table?
Reserved tables will no longer be offered, seating with friends can be requested using a group name (as instructed above).
Is my ticket purchase tax-deductible?
The portion of your payment that exceeds the fair market value (FMV) of your ticket may be tax-deductible.
