Gastroenterologist Dr. Puja Khanna joins Amber Tresca for a conversation about living with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), from navigating care and treatment options to managing the emotional and day-to-day realities of chronic illness.
The afternoon will also feature a short guided mindfulness session to help you reconnect with your body and breath, along with a fun, lighthearted line dancing session to get you moving and out of your head for a bit.

About Our Speakers
Amber Tresca
Amber is an inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patient who was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis in 1989 at the age of 16 and underwent a 2-step J-Pouch surgery in 1999. Today, she is a speaker, facilitator, and advocate for people with IBD and works as a medical writer and editor, focusing on patient-facing content in the digestive and rare disease spaces.
She blogs at AboutIBD.com and hosts the popular podcast, About IBD. Amber's goal is to help patients better understand their disease and find high-quality, evidence-based information to inform their treatment decisions.
Dr. Puja Vora Khanna
Dr. Khanna is a gastroenterologist and inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) specialist dedicated to advancing comprehensive, patient-centered care for women living with IBD. She completed her medical school training at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York and completed her internal medicine residency and IBD-focused gastroenterology fellowship at UCLA. After finishing her fellowship, she joined the academic faculty at Cedars Sinai as a basic scientist studying the pathophysiology of IBD. In 2014, she transitioned to Kaiser Permanente, where she spent nearly a decade as a clinical gastroenterologist with a regional focus in IBD, trying to advance the care of IBD patients within the Kaiser system. She returned to Cedars-Sinai in 2024, as the Clinical Director of Women's Health in IBD where she is developing a comprehensive Women's IBD program focused on unique issues that face women with IBD.
