Marietta D. Murton is a multidisciplinary artist, community leader, and social entrepreneur who champions emotional well-being, cultural identity, and collective empowerment through art. Raised in Chiclayo, Peru - a region rich in ancestral wisdom, tradition, and resilience - she carries those values into her work today from her home in Atlanta, Georgia.

Now deeply rooted in the South, Marietta dedicates her practice to building artistic and emotional bridges between her Peruvian heritage and her Georgia community, strengthening human connection and celebrating the cultural legacies that shape our collective identity. With over twenty years of experience addressing financial, social, and cultural barriers, her impact reaches far beyond economics - her art serves as both a call to healing and a tool for transformation, especially for caregivers, women, and community leaders.

She is the founder of The Inner Bean Project, a movement weaving together Peruvian ancestral knowledge, modern neuroscience, and contemporary art. At its heart is a small but powerful symbol: the lima bean, traditionally significant in Andean culture and reimagined to represent the emotional center of the brain. Each Inner Bean is handcrafted with natural beans, resin, acrylic paint, and gold leaf - a sacred object of remembrance, reflection, and resilience - inviting people to reconnect with their inner voice through the affirmation: "I am well. I am safe. I am loved."

Marietta's work has been recognized by institutions including Mercedes-Benz, Google, The Coca-Cola Company, and UPS, and featured across diplomatic, corporate, and community spaces. From her studio in Atlanta, she continues to cultivate a movement rooted in belonging, identity, and cultural resistance - guided always by the stories that connect us all.
