The music of the American Songbook played a vital role in uniting Americans during the most difficult times of war, particularly during World War II. With songs composed by legends such as Irving Berlin, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, and others, these melodies offered comfort, patriotism, and a shared cultural identity.
This concert is sponsored by Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood and the United Church of Christ, Fort Lauderdale.
