About the Courage Cabinet

Every cancer journey carries a story no one expected to write.

Some chapters are filled with uncertainty, exhaustion, long drives to treatment, difficult decisions, and financial strain that quietly builds behind the scenes. While no two stories are ever the same, one thing remains true: no patient should have to face those pages alone. 

That is why CRMC created the Courage Cabinet.

The Courage Cabinet provides direct support to local cancer patients and families throughout treatment, helping ease the everyday burdens that can quickly become overwhelming during a cancer diagnosis. Support may include travel assistance, gas cards, meals, groceries, hotel stays, medications, medical supplies, and other essential needs not fully covered by insurance.

Because healing is about more than treatment alone.

For many patients, the stress of missed work, rising expenses, and constant travel can become just as heavy as the diagnosis itself. The Courage Cabinet helps provide stability, dignity, and relief during one of life's most difficult chapters, allowing patients to focus more fully on healing.

The fund is available to CRMC cancer patients throughout our service area, with assistance tailored to each individual's needs. Each patient may receive up to $1,000 annually, with additional gas card support available at CRMC's discretion.
