2026 Distinguished Alumni Award

We are honored to recognize Dr. Eileen M. McNeely with this year's Distinguished Alumni Award. Dr. McNeely's dedication to nursing, leadership, and service has made a lasting impact both within the Mount community and throughout the healthcare field.

McNeely

Former classmate Tim Heil '78 shared the following message:

I had the pleasure of knowing Eileen during her time at the Mount as well as when she was in West Virginia and in Boston. While at MSMC and in her professional life, Eileen was known for her tenacity to excel in everything that she did as well as her dedication to the craft of nursing. Her self-discipline was and is one of her greatest assets, and I believe this is what has propelled her to become a nationally recognized leader in the healthcare world.

I would be remiss in talking about Eileen if I did not mention that she came from a large Irish Catholic family of 10 children. Her father, who was an inspiration to us all, wanted all of his children to be everything that they could be, but never forget to stop and enjoy life along the way. He would be very proud of Eileen for making his wish come true.

Support the Donor Scholarship Fund

The Donor Scholarship Fund allows all donors to support scholarships that are awarded based on high financial need and academic success. The fund also helps the college recruit and retain students, which is essential to the institution's longevity, and to the students' ability to afford their Mount education. More than a third of the Mount's student population are first generation college students and almost 90 percent of our students receive some form of financial aid. For them, this isn't just higher education, it's the opportunity to fulfill their dreams.
